Index online items and categories with search engines
About SEO
To help items and categories displayed on your Square Online site rank better on search engines like Google, you can add search engine optimisation (SEO) details to them in your Item Library. Adding SEO details helps make your items more discoverable online, which can also help lead to more site visits and online sales.
Before you begin
You can index your items and categories from your Square Dashboard.
Make sure you understand how to create and edit items and how to create and manage item categories..
Since search engines aren’t updated in real time, their search results won’t immediately display any recent changes you’ve made to your SEO details. It can take anywhere between a few days to several weeks for a change to be reflected in search engine results. For more information, review our Ultimate SEO Guide.
