Set Up Gifting Options with Square Online
Enabling gift options allows your customers to indicate that an item they’re purchasing is intended to be a gift. Buyers can include a message to the recipient that displays on the shipping invoice, along with return or exchange instructions. You can also offer gift wrapping with an optional added fee.
Enable Gift Options and Set Up Items
Go to the Square Online Overview page, and select Settings > Item Settings.
Click the toggle next to Gift options, and choose Set up.
If you would like to offer a gift-wrapping service, click on the toggle under Gift wrap.
Enter a customer-facing label and description, add a price if you wish to charge a fee, then click Next to continue.
Use the tick boxes to choose which items will have gift options. At this time, only Physical and Food & beverage item types are supported.
When finished, click the Apply button to save your changes.
Set Up Return or Exchange Policies
Go to the Square Online Overview page, and select Settings > Checkout.
Click Edit policies to edit your return and delivery policies.
Click Save to apply your changes.
Purchasing Gift Items
Customers shopping on your website will see the gift options you set up when viewing an item that allows gifting.
Any gift options the buyer selected will display in the shopping cart and on the email confirmation. The receipt printout for shipped orders shows the buyer’s message and your return policy, but does not include prices.
