Recover your Google Workspace Admin Account for Square Online

If you ever forget the password for your Google Workspace admin account, there’s a recovery process you can use through Google. You can learn more about signing into the Google Workspace Admin console in Google’s support centre, but we’ll provide you with basic steps you can take below. Be sure to start from the beginning.

Start the Verification Process

Click the link below to get started with the first step of verification.

Use an email address you have access to

Enter a valid email address that you have access to. Google will be sending the password reset instructions to this email address, so don’t enter your Google Workspace email here, but another email address that you can receive mail at. Google will be using this email address to contact you, and help you fix the problem. Double-check that you’ve typed everything correctly before continuing.

Record your Unique Code

You should now see a page like the one below, with a long string of text in bold. Copy and save that bold text, as you’ll need it in the next step. This is for adding a special type of record to your domain name, which Google will use to verify that you’re the domain owner.

Add a CNAME Record to your Domain

This article will show you how to manage records for Square Online domains to add the aforementioned record to your domain, but if you bought your domain name somewhere else, you’ll need to ask your domain registrar for help with the setup.

To set up this record with your domain hosted at Square, leave the Google verification page open in your browser, and log in to Square to access Square Online in a separate window. Then, proceed below:
