Platforms like UberEats are sometimes classified as marketplace facilitators. DISCLAIMER: Although Square provides sales tax reporting, we cannot offer any tax advice or consultation services. Tax compliance is solely your responsibility. We cannot guarantee the applicability and accuracy of our tax tools. If you have any questions about your tax obligations, we recommend consulting a professional tax advisor.

You can also view tax reports in Square. All taxes collected on marketplace orders have tax names beginning with the platform and ending with “Not Paid” or  “Paid by” followed by the platform name.

Taxes ending with “Not Paid” means the taxes were not remitted to the tax authorities by the platform and were part of a payout from the platform to you. For example, you may see a tax with the name “UberEats - Resort Food & Beverage Tax Miami Beach City - Not Paid” and $100 in tax collected. This means that UberEats did not remit this tax and this $100 tax was included in a payout from UberEats to you. Learn more about UberEats payouts in the UberEats Help Center.
