Notification Center

We’ve built a new Notification Center that centralizes all your notifications across the Square Point Of Sale app, Square Appointments app, and the Square for Retail app. You can receive and read account alerts, new feature announcements, and Square news – all from one easy-to-access place.

Account Notifications

Account notifications like order alerts, disputes, and sales trends are indicated by a blue numbered badge overlaying the Notifications icon on the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen.

What’s New Notifications

What’s New notifications such as insights on how to improve your POS and new product features are indicated by a blue badge overlaying the Notifications icon on the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen.

Urgent Notifications

Urgent notifications such as a frozen account are indicated by a red warning badge overlaying the Notifications icon on the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen. An urgent notification will appear larger in size under account notifications.

View Notifications

To view your notifications in the Notification Center from your Square Point of Sale app

  1. Open the Aplicación Punto de venta Square.

  2. Tap Notifications at the bottom of the menu.

  3. Choose to view Notifications for:
    a. Account - Notifications relating to your Square account.
    b. What’s New - Notifications about Square Point of Sale updates, products, and services.

  4. Tap on any notification to review and resolve it.

Note: To remove notification badges, you must view all notifications in Notification Center.

To view your notifications in the Notification Center from your Square Appointments app (only Available on iOS devices at this time): 

  1. Open the Square Appointments POS app.

  2. From the Appointments app > Tap More on the navigation bar. 

  3. Tap Notifications.

  4. Choose to view Notifications for:

    a. Account - Notifications relating to your Square account
    b. What’s New - Notifications about Appointments updates, products, and services.

  5. Tap on any notification to review and resolve it.

Note: To remove notification badges, you must view all notifications in Notification Center.

To view your notifications in the Notification Center from your Square for Retail POS app

  1. Open the Square Retail POS app.

  2. Tap Notifications in the navigation bar.

  3. Choose to view Notifications for:

    a. Account - Notifications relating to your Square account
    b. What’s New - Notifications about Square for Retail updates, products, and services.

  4. Tap on any notification to review and resolve it.

Note: To remove notification badges, you must view all notifications in Notification Center.
