Create inventory alerts
About inventory alerts
You can keep track of your inventory and know when inventory is running low by creating low stock alerts. With low stock alerts, if an item’s in-stock quantity count falls below the set threshold, an alert is generated. These alerts help businesses maintain optimal stock levels, prevent stockouts or overstocking, and ensure smooth operations.
Before you begin
You can only create low stock alerts from your Square Dashboard.
Make sure you’ve created at least one item in your item library. Learn more about how to create and edit items with Square.
