1. Card present transaction (e.g., Chip and PIN or contactless) fees:

2. Card-not-present transaction fees:
Online payment products:
- 1.4% + 25c + VAT per EEA and EU card transaction
- 2.9% + 25c + VAT per UK/non-EEA card transaction
All other payment products:
- 2% + VAT or 2.5% + VAT per card transaction

Understanding Square’s Pricing
Square’s flat fees include all fees and charges applied by card issuers, the Networks and the Acquirer to Square, including interchange fees.
Default interchange fees are set by the Networks (to review current default interchange fees, check out the MasterCard and Visa websites), but may differ based on a Card’s issuer, category or brand. While interchange fees vary, they are capped in the Republic of Ireland at 0.3% for credit cards and 0.1% for debit cards (in respect of the annual overall transaction value within each Network). By deducting the relevant interchange fees from Square’s flat fees for a given transaction, you may assess the value of Square’s fees to Square.
