Create a Printer Station and Connect a Printer
Use Printer Stations to save your settings to your device and easily swap between connected printers.
Ethernet Printer
Locate your wireless router with Ethernet port and make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal.
Connect one end of the Ethernet cable into the rear panel of the printer, and plug the other end of the cable into the wireless router’s Ethernet port.
From the Square app, tap More.
Tap Settings > Hardware > Printers > Create Printer Station.
Enter a printer station name.
Select Printer and select your printer.
Make sure the receipt printer and your device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. To test your connection, tap Print Test. For iOS devices, Square needs access to your local network in order to connect to network printers. Toggle ON for Local Network in your device Settings > Square > Local Network to enable access, then relaunch the Square app.
Under the section Use this printer for, toggle on whether you’d like to print: Receipts, In-person order tickets, Order ticket stubs or Void tickets.
Tap Save.
To connect multiple devices to the same Ethernet printer, follow these steps with each device. You can also print copies of the same receipt to multiple printers from one device.
Note: Your printer must have an Ethernet interface. You can order swappable interfaces but be sure to request the Ethernet connection type on your printer.
Wi-Fi Printer
Ensure the your device is connected to your Wi-Fi network
From the Square app, tap More.
Tap Settings > Hardware > Printers > Create Printer Station.
Enter a printer station name.
Tap Printer and select your printer.
Make sure the receipt printer and your device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. To test your connection, tap Print Test.
In the section Use this printer for, toggle on what you’d like to print depending on your needs: Receipts, In-person order tickets, Order ticket stubs and Void tickets.
Tap Save.

USB Printer for Square Stand
Plug your supported USB receipt printer into a power source.
Plug your USB cable from your printer into the hardware hub
From the Square Point of Sale app, tap More.
Tap Settings > Hardware > Printers > Create Printer Station.
Enter a printer station name.
Tap Printer and select your USB printer. To test your printer connection, tap Print Test.
In the section Use this printer for, toggle on what you’d like to print depending on your needs: Receipts, In-person order tickets, Order ticket stubs and Void tickets.
Tap Save.
Note: If you are using Square Stand or Square Terminal, you can plug your USB accessory directly into the USB hub on the power cord. For Square Terminal, USB connection requires Hub for Square Terminal. For Android devices, you’ll need to connect through a USB OTG (On-The-Go) adaptor. Be sure to check that your Android device supports USB OTG or USB Host mode.

AirPrint Support on iOS
AirPrint support on iOS helps the integration with any printer that supports AirPrint protocol. The most popular kitchen and receipt printers which support AirPrint are : Star TSP654II, Brother QL-1110and Star TSP847II. Learn more about AirPrint.
To get started:
From the Square app, tap More from the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen.
Tap Settings > Hardware > Printers > Create Printer Station.
Enter a printer station name.
Tap Printer then select printer.
Click Connect AirPrint printer and choose your printer.
Tap Save.
You are able to find your AirPrint printer saved, enabled and ready to be used from your Square app under Settings > Hardware.
