Unsubscribe From Square Marketing Emails for Customers
Square email marketing allows sellers to send promotions, announcements, event invitations, and even coupons to their customers via email.
Note: Only a Square business that you directly provided your email address has access to your personal information.
Unsubscribe from a Square Seller’s Marketing emails
You can unsubscribe from a Square seller’s emails from the footer of any email you received from Square. To do so:
Click Manage Preferences at the bottom of your email.
Under “Communication Preferences”, select I do not want to receive emails from this merchant to unsubscribe from email marketing campaigns from that Square seller. The settings will save automatically.
Alternatively, at the bottom of the same email:
Click Unsubscribe > Unsubscribe.
Select from the options or provide written feedback.
Click Submit.
Receiving Sellers’ Marketing Emails
A Square Seller can send you marketing emails if you explicitly provided consent to subscribe to these emails. You can do so via:
Email collection through the Square seller's unique URL.
Email collection through a QR code.
Email collection outside of Square of Square's customer information collection tools.
Once you provide consent, the Square Seller can have your email address saved in their Customer Directory and can email you with their business' announcements, newsletters, or other email marketing materials.
Email addresses that you have previously provided to a Square seller — for example, when you provide your email address to receive a digital receipt, Invoice or Estimate, book an appointment or receive loyalty rewards — cannot be used to send email marketing through Square Marketing, unless you have provided explicit consent to subscribe to receive marketing emails from that business.

Resubscribe to a Square Seller’s Marketing emails
If you wish to resubscribe to the Square seller's email marketing at any time:
Search your email inbox for the last email received from the Square seller.
Click Manage Preferences at the bottom of your email.
Under “Communication Preferences”, select Receive emails from this merchant to resubscribe from email marketing campaigns from that Square seller. The settings will save automatically.
