Alabama
Withholding Tax Payments
To make Alabama withholding tax payments, you must be registered with the Alabama Department of Revenue (DOR) and have an Alabama State Income Tax ID Number. If you’re not registered with the DOR, you can do so online. In order to access your account via My Alabama Taxes (MAT), you will need your withholding tax account number and Sign On ID and Access Code provided by the Department to sign up in MAT.
Pay Online: Log into the MyAlabamaTaxes (MAT) system to make withholding tax payments.

Unemployment Tax Payments
To make Alabama unemployment tax payments, you must be registered with the Alabama Department of Labor (DOL) and have an Alabama Department of Labor ID Number. If you’re not registered with the DOL, you can do so online.
Pay Online: Log into the Alabama Department of Labor website to make unemployment tax payments.

Alaska
To make Alaska unemployment tax payments, you must be registered with the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce and have an Employer Account Number. If you do not have an account number, you can register for one at the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce registration website.
There are two options for making employment security tax payments:
Pay Online: Log into your My Alaska account and click Employment Security Tax > Pay Taxes.

Pay by Mail: Write a check payable to the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce. Include your Employer Account Number in the memo. Mail your check to:

Arizona
Withholding Tax Payments
To make Arizona withholding tax payments, you must be registered with the Arizona Department of Revenue. The Arizona Withholding identification number is actually the same as your Federal Employer Identification Number, but it needs to be registered separately with the AZ DOR. If you’re not registered with the state, you can do so:
- Pay Online: Go to www.AZTaxes.gov and click Enroll to File and Pay Online.
- Pay by Mail: Send an Arizona Joint Tax Application to the address on the form. Be sure to check Withholding/Unemployment Tax in Box 1.
There are two options for making withholding tax payments:
Pay Online: Pay via e-check or credit card by logging into www.AZTaxes.gov.

Pay by Mail: Make checks payable to the Arizona Department of Revenue and include your EIN and the filing period for which the payment is intended (e.g. Q1 2016) on the front of your check or money order. Send to:

Unemployment Tax Payments
To make Arizona unemployment tax payments, you must be registered with both the Arizona Department of Revenue and Arizona Department of Economic Security. You can register for both agencies by completing the Arizona Joint Tax Application and submitting it to the License & Registration Section of DOR.
There are two options for making unemployment tax payments:
- Pay Online: Log into the Arizona Unemployment Tax and Wage System. You can find more information and instructions at the AZ DES website.
- Pay by Mail: Make your check payable to DES - Unemployment Tax and write your Arizona Unemployment Tax Account Number and the filing period for which the payment is intended on it. If you printed a payment voucher, enclose it with your payment, but if you do not have a voucher, it is not required. Mail your payment to:

Arkansas
Withholding Tax
To make Arkansas withholding tax payments, you must be registered with the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) and have an Arkansas State Income Tax ID Number. If you’re not registered with the DFA, you can do so online or by completing Form AR-1R, Combined Business Tax Registration.
Pay Online: Log into the Arkansas Taxpayer Access Point (ATAP) system to make withholding tax payments. Open the appropriate account from the My Accounts panel on the Customer page. Click “Make a payment”.

Unemployment Insurance
To make Arkansas unemployment tax payments, you must be registered with the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services (DWS) and have an Arkansas Department of Workforce Services ID Number. If you’re not registered with the DWS, you can do so online.
Pay Online: Log into the Arkansas Tax21 website to make unemployment tax payments.

California
In order to make California state tax payments, you must be registered with the California Employment Development Department (EDD) and have a California employer account number. You can make tax payments online.
Pay Online:Enroll with the EDD for an e-services account. Once you have an account, you can make payments and filings from your e-services account. Visit the EDD website for more information.
Mail-in filings are no longer accepted.

Colorado
Withholding Tax
To make Colorado withholding tax payments, you must be registered with the Colorado Department of Revenue and have a Colorado Registration Account Number. If you’re not registered with the DOR, you can register as a new business by completing Form CR 0100.
Pay Online: Enroll with the Revenue Online portal for an online account. Once you have an account, you can make payments and filings from your online account.

Connecticut
Withholding Tax Payments
There are a few options for making withholding tax payments:
- Pay Online: Use the Connecticut Taxpayer Service Center on the DRS website to pay withholding tax online. You will need your Connecticut Tax Registration Number (CT REG) to log into the Connecticut Taxpayer Service Center.
- Pay By Phone: Use the Business Telefile System to pay withholding tax by calling 855-665-9471 (toll-free from outside the Greater Groton calling area) or 860-449-1011 (from anywhere) to file a business tax return or to make a payment. Enter your Connecticut Tax Registration Number. If you are using the Telefile system for the first time, you will be told to use your preassigned Personal Identification Number (PIN) or to enter information from a previously filed return. You will be told to create your own five to eight digit password. Follow these steps for a payment-only transaction:
1. On the Telefile main menu, choose Option 7 to make an EFT payment.
2. When told, enter the five-digit tax code of the tax you wish to pay. The code for Payroll Withholding is 01100.
3. Enter the tax period ending date for the payment you are making. Enter two digits for the month and four digits for the year. For example, May 2017 would be 052017.
4. Enter the dollar amount of the payment. Use the star (*) key on your touch-tone pad to separate dollars and cents.
5. After you complete your payment, Telefile will give you a confirmation number. Once you receive this number, you have successfully made your payment. Make a note of this number for your records.
Pay by Mail: Do not use this option unless you have been granted a waiver from DRS. Make your check or money order payable to the “Commissioner of Revenue Services” and mail it to the DRS at: Department of Revenue Services Revenue Accounting PO Box 5088 Hartford, CT 06102-5088
To ensure proper posting of your payment, write your Connecticut Tax Registration Number and the applicable quarter and year of the payment on the front of your check or money order.
Unemployment Insurance Payments
You will need to create an unemployment insurance tax account with the Connecticut Department of Labor (DOL). Once registered, you’ll be issued a Connecticut DOL registration number. There is no fee to register your business with the DOL for unemployment insurance tax purposes (other types of tax registration can incur a fee).
- Pay Online: Use the Connecticut Employer Registration System on the DOL website.
- Pay by Mail: Submit a paper application using Form UC-1A, Employer Status Report for Unemployment Compensation.
You must make payments electronically unless you’ve been granted a waiver by the DOL. To make electronic payments, use the Connecticut Internet Tax and Wage System. You can make payments via Automated Clearing House (ACH) or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
Delaware
Withholding Tax Payments
To make Delaware withholding tax payments, you must be registered through the One Stop Business Licensing and Registration System or fax/mail a completed Form CRA to the State of Delaware to obtain a withholding account number.
There are two options for paying withholding taxes:
Pay Online: Pay by ACH debit through the One Stop Business Licensing and Registration System.
Pay by Mail: Mail check along with a completed copy of your withholding tax form downloaded from the Delaware Division of Revenue.

Unemployment Insurance Payments
To make Delaware Unemployment Insurance tax payments, you must be registered with the Department of Labor Division of Unemployment Insurance. To register for an account with the DOL, you can request Form UC-1 by calling the Unemployment Insurance Employer Contributions Unit at (302) 761-8484 or download the Form UC-1 from the Delaware Division of Unemployment Insurance.
There are two options for paying unemployment insurance taxes:
Pay Online: Pay by ACH through the Department of Labor - Online Employer Services portal at the end of your filing.
Pay by Mail: Mail check along with completed copies of Form UC-8 and UC-8A to the address indicated on the form.

District of Columbia
Withholding Tax Payments
To make payments, you must be registered with the DC Office of Tax and Revenue and have a DC Withholding Tax account. If you do not have an account number, you can register for one through MyTax.DC.gov and complete Form FR-500 for New Business Registration.
There are two options for paying withholding taxes:

Florida
Unemployment Insurance
To make Florida Reemployment tax payments, you must be registered with the Florida Department of Revenue (DOR) and have a Florida Reemployment Tax Account Number. If you do not have an account number, you can register for one on the Florida DOR website. You can make tax payments online or by mail.
Pay Online: Pay through the DOR e-Services or enroll to e-file and pay online. Visit the Florida DOR website for information and instructions for setting up your account.
