Cancel a purchase order from your Square Dashboard

About cancelling purchase orders

Changes in inventory needs, supplier issues, product quality concerns and changes in customer demand can result in cancellation of purchase orders. Cancelling a purchase order allows you to adjust your inventory plans accordingly.

Before you begin

In order to cancel a purchase order, you need to access your existing purchase orders. These can be purchase orders you received, created or previously imported. Cancel a purchase order

To cancel a purchase order from your online Square Dashboard:

  1. Log in to your online Square Dashboard and go to Inventory Management.

  2. Select the Purchase Orders tab and click ••• next to the purchase order you’d like to cancel.

  3. Click Cancel Order.

After a purchase order has been cancelled, it will be moved into the Archived Orders section. It is not possible to cancel purchase orders from the Square for Retail app at this time.
