Set up Square Kiosk hardware
About Square Kiosk hardware
Square Kiosk hardware (formerly known as Square Stand Mount) is a versatile iPad-driven unit that can be easily attached to a wall, secured to a countertop, or fixed to a VESA-compatible floor stand anywhere in your venue. With built-in contactless and chip card readers, you can process card payments either by tapping or inserting a card, as well as accepting mobile tap payments such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
When Square Kiosk is paired with the Square Kiosk app, it creates a self-serve station that empowers customers to place orders and complete the checkout flow independently.
Square Kiosk hardware can also function as a space-saving point of sale device that can run any Square point of sale app–without the need for the Square Kiosk app subscription. This option is ideal for businesses who operate out of small or narrow spaces and need to mount their point of sale device to a wall.
Before you begin

Connect accessories to your Square Kiosk
When Square Kiosk hardware is running with the Square Kiosk app, it can not directly connect to accessories, such as barcode scanners and receipt printers, through USB, Wi-Fi/Ethernet, or Bluetooth. However, you can print Kiosk order tickets through your companion Point of Sale device(s) that are connected to your kitchen printers. Only one companion Point of Sale device is needed, regardless if you have multiple Square Kiosks.
Print Kitchen Tickets through Kiosk
To send your Kiosk orders to your kitchen printer through your Point of Sale device:
- On your Point of Sale device, navigate to ≡ More > Settings > Hardware > Printers.
- Select the Printer Profile and toggle on Online and Kiosk order tickets.
Note: If you are printing by category, ensure that the categories enabled for Square Kiosk are selected in the printer profile as well.
These kitchen tickets will print through the printer set-up via your Point of Sale device, along with any other kitchen ticket created from a Point of Sale order.
