    • About live sales data

    Square for Restaurants allows you to see real-time data for your sales during service with the live sales report.

    Live sales provides  details about open checks, as well as total sales that includes an overview of closed checks. You can use this data to analyse daily sales performance and inform staffing decisions during service.

    Before you begin

    • The Live Sales report considers open and closed checks for sales made during your  business hours. You can adjust your business hours from Account & Settings > Business information > Locations in Square Dashboard.

    • The live sales report shows the performance of a shift in real time.

    Open live sales report

    On an iPad

    1. Open your point of sale app and tap More > View Live Sales.
    2. Tap Refresh to ensure data includes any recent bills.
    3. Scroll to view all data.

    On Square Register

    1. Open your point of sale app and tap More > View Live Sales.
    2. Tap Refresh to ensure data includes any recent bills.
    3. Scroll to view all data.

    On the Square Dashboard app

    1. Open the Square Dashboard app and tap the person icon.
    2. Tap Bill reporting.
    3. Select All bills.
