Switch between Square accounts in Square Dashboard
About switching between Square accounts
If you work across more than one Square account, you can switch between them directly in Square Dashboard. You don’t need to go back to Launchpad each time.
Switching only shows accounts you already have access to. It doesn’t change your access or permissions in any account.
The account switcher shows up to 20 businesses in alphabetical order. Each business shows its number of locations. You can search to find any business you have access to.
Before you begin
You must already be added to each Square account as an owner or team member. Learn how to add and manage team members.
The account switcher only appears if you have access to two or more Square accounts.
Being a member of a Square organization doesn’t give you access to other accounts on its own. Learn more about Comprendre l’adhésion à l’organisation Square pour la Suite multi-comptes Square.
The account switcher is available in Square Dashboard on a desktop web browser. It isn’t available in the Square Point of Sale app or on mobile browsers.
Switch to another Square account
Sign in to Square Dashboard.
Select the arrow next to your business name at the top of the left navigation.
Optional: Enter a business name in Search businesses to filter the list.
Select the business you want to switch to. Your current business is marked Current.
Square Dashboard shows Switching… and then loads the business you selected. If the same section is available in that business, it opens there. Otherwise, it opens the Square Dashboard home page.
Note: Selecting your business name, not the arrow, still opens your account menu.
If you see Businesses could not be loaded, select Try again or select See all businesses. If you see We could not switch businesses, your current business is still active. Try again or select See all businesses. If you see Business selected. Reload this page to continue., reload your browser page.
See all businesses in Launchpad
Use Launchpad to view your full list of businesses and other Square services.
In Square Dashboard, select the arrow next to your business name.
Select See all businesses.
Select a business or service from Launchpad.
