Tax ID Disclosure Requirements for Digital Receipts and Invoices

While Square won’t prevent you from sending digital receipts or invoices, a Business Number is generally required for receipts issued by businesses registered to do business in Canada. Your Business Number is the first nine digits of your GST/HST Number. Please enter your GST/HST Number and PST/RST/QST Number (if applicable) in the Business Identification Numbers section under the Public Profile tab or Receipt tab in your Dashboard.
