About the gift card reconciliation report
When your organization uses shared gift cards with Square Multi-Account Suite, the gift card reconciliation report tracks gift card activity across your organization and shows how much each member merchant owes or is owed for a given period. The report breaks down loads, redemptions, refunds, fees, and transfers by member merchant and location.
For details on how shared gift cards work, see Manage shared gift cards with Square Multi-Account Suite.
Actual fund transfers between the operator merchant and member merchants happen outside of Square.

Member merchant covers: Processing fees are deducted from the member merchant's settlement amount.

How the settlement amount is calculated
The Amount for Settlement is automatically calculated for each member merchant based on gift card activity during the reconciliation period, including loads, discounts, redemptions, refunds, and transfers.
The calculation depends on your fee responsibility settings. A positive amount means the member merchant owes the operator merchant. A negative amount means the operator merchant owes the member merchant.
Note: Square provides the reconciliation data, but actual fund transfers between the operator merchant and member merchants happen outside of Square and must be handled by the operator merchant.
