Create a Square Login to Access Weebly FAQ
If you're a Weebly user being prompted to change your login to Square, use this article and its links to help you understand and complete the process. For additional questions not found in any of these resources, contact Square Support.
As part of our merger with Square, we ask that you update your Weebly login to a Square login so we can continue improving your experience and providing you with regular updates.
Note: Before you update your login, be sure you have access to the email on file for your Weebly account. If you don’t, be sure to update it to an address where you can receive emails. To change your account email, go to Account settings in your site dashboard, then select Manage Account > Change Email.

Having a Square login is more secure. You won’t need to use any Square tools, but you’ll always have them available in your account for future use.
You also won’t need to change your Weebly sites. You’ll continue getting the product updates and benefits you need for managing a website - online store or otherwise.
Creating a Square login won’t cost you anything. You’ll still continue to enjoy the features you’re currently using (if not more) completely free of charge.
If you’re selling online, Square offers competitive rates comparable to other payment providers. Processing payments with Square is completely optional and not required for creating a Square login. Learn more about Square fees.
Your Weebly sites will remain the same. The only thing that will change is how you log in to manage your Weebly sites. After creating your new Square login, you’ll be able to log in at squareup.com with your Square credentials.
Your sites will remain published and unchanged, but you’ll be unable to access your dashboard if you don’t update your login to Square.
To access your sites from your Square account:
- Go to squareup.com and Sign In to access your Square Dashboard.
- In your Square Dashboard, select Ecommerce > Online to go to the Square Online Overview page, the area of your Dashboard where you can manage everything for your sites.
- Switch to any other website in your account by selecting the site switcher dropdown menu.
- In the navigation menu, select Website > Edit Site to open the site editor.
