Customise Marketing Campaigns

With Square Marketing, you can create customisable campaigns that reflect your business’ brand and voice.

To get started:

1. Go to Customers > Marketing on your online Square Dashboard.

2. Click Create Campaign and select Email campaign.

3. Under 'Choose a campaign,' select your campaign objective. If you’re sending an email, you can choose One-time or Automated. If you want to send a Facebook campaign, you can choose between different types of one-time campaigns.

4. Within the campaign objectives, you can choose to target your best customers with different smart groups. These are recommended customer groups, such as top spenders, frequent visitors, active customers and loyal subscribers.

5. If your business has multiple locations, you can select a specific location. This will determine which address displays at the bottom of your emails and limit where the voucher can be redeemed. Note: If you want your voucher to be redeemable at all locations, leave the default All Locations selection.

6. Select an existing template from the theme library or use the default template to customise your email template. Choose the default campaign colours, layout, global styles, font size, button size and email header styles of your template. You can also add images, new text fields and Items from your library, and order these blocks of content so the email layout looks how you want. With Square Marketing, you have access to a searchable image gallery with over 850,000 free stock photos.

7. Select your audience by adding your preferred customer group. Choose all customers or select a custom set of customers. If you chose a smart group when selecting your campaign objective, you can adjust the group recipients by clicking Modify.

8. Select your campaign payment method, and review your campaign.

Customise Themes

You can choose from a selection of seasonal themes for upcoming holidays or a variety of other themes.

1. Select Themes from the menu.

2. Choose a theme to see a preview of it.

Customise Header or Business Logo

To customise the logo displayed on the campaign:

1. Click on the logo displayed.

2. Select Image from the menu.

3. Click Change Image Header to upload an image from your computer.

4. You can also choose to Upload Logo.

Customise Layout

You can add, remove and reorder the content included in your campaigns, like images, text, hyperlinked buttons, dividers and headlines. Your editing options include:

• Adding a content type by selecting one from the blocks toolbar in the menu.

• Removing a content type by clicking on the section in the preview and clicking the X icon.

• Reordering the content types by clicking on a section to drag and drop it.

Note: For images in the body, we recommend at least 800px in width.

Add a Voucher

It’s easy to add a Square Online voucher to your marketing campaign. Once you have created a coupon for Square Online :

1. Start a new Marketing Campaign

2. Select Offer A Voucher > Design Campaign.

3. Click Paste code on the voucher campaign preview.

4. Select Online use and paste the voucher code you created earlier under Voucher Code.

5. Once you finish setting up your voucher campaign, click Select Audience.

6. Select your voucher campaign audience.

Duplicate a Campaign

If you want to reuse a campaign that you’ve previously created, you can always go back to a completed campaign and duplicate it. To do so:

1. Visit Customers > Marketing in your online Square Dashboard.

2. Click Completed, select the campaign that you’d like to duplicate and click Duplicate.

3. Complete, review and send or schedule your campaign.
