Manage catalogue with Square Multi-Account Suite
About catalogue orchestration
With Square Multi-Account Suite, the operator merchant can create and manage a central catalogue of menus, items, modifier sets, services and discounts in Square Dashboard.
Editability of centrally managed catalogue objects
Not editable by members: These fields are never editable by members on central catalogue objects
Operator controlled: The operator can choose whether member merchants may edit the attribute on central catalogue objects.

Assign menus, items, modifier sets, services and discounts to member merchants
The operator merchant can assign menus, items, modifier sets, services and discounts to member merchant locations. After the operator merchant assigns them to member merchant locations, they automatically appear at the selected locations.
To assign a menu, item, modifier sets, services or discounts to member merchant locations:

Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Items & Services, and select the desired category from the options below.
Items > Item library
Menus
Items > Modifiers
Items > Discounts
Select the one you want to edit.
Click Edit for Location.
Select the merchants or locations you want to assign it to.
Click Save.
To assign items in bulk:
Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Items & Services > Item library.
Select multiple items.
Click Edit items.
On the Bulk edit items page, edit Locations.
Choose which member merchants and locations should receive the items.
Select Update.
Set menu and item restrictions for member merchants
You control what member merchants can do with shared catalogue content. Member merchants see shared content labelled Corporate in their Dashboard. Content they create locally is labelled Local.
To manage these settings:
Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Settings > Account & Settings > My organisation > Organisation settings.
Select Menu & item orchestration settings.
The following restrictions are available:
Allow editing of corporate menu groups and items : Choose which fields member merchants can edit on corporate-managed items, such as the item name or price.
Local menu creation: Choose whether member merchants can create their own local menus. When allowed, member merchants can add shared Corporate items to a local menu.
Local item creation: Choose whether member merchants can create their own local items.
Local modifier set creation: Choose whether member merchants can create their own local modifier sets.
Control POS menu layouts: Choose whether the operating merchant controls POS menu layouts for member merchants.
Set corporate discount restrictions for member merchants
The operator merchant can control whether member merchants can create discounts within each member account. When this is restricted, member merchants will only be able to use central discounts that have been assigned to them by the operator merchant.
To manage these settings:
Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Settings > Account & Settings > My organisation > Organisation settings.
Select Corporate discount orchestration settings.
Set location-specific pricing
You can set different prices for shared items at specific member merchant locations.
To override pricing for an individual item:
Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Items & Services > Item library.
Select an item.
Go to the pricing section.
Click the three dots (•••).
Select Add price override.
Select the merchants or locations where you want to apply different prices.
Click Save.
A new section appears below the pricing section with the selected merchants and locations.
Enter the new price for each location.
Click Save.
Import and export member items
The operator merchant can export and import member item settings to manage per-location pricing and item availability in bulk.
To export:
Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Items & Services > Item library.
Select Actions > Export member items.
Click Next.
Select the member businesses to include in the export and Click Next.
Review the export summary and select Export.
To import:
Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Items & Services > Item library.
Select Actions > Import member items.
Upload a CSV file and click Validate.
Review changes and click Import changes.
Control POS menu layouts
Optionally, Operator merchants can choose to control POS menu layouts for member merchants. When this is enabled, the full POS menu layout, including all ‘Actions’ and other non-Item tiles on the POS layout are kept in sync for central menus. When enabled, member merchants are not able to edit any aspect of the POS layout, which becomes read-only.
This applies to Quick Service, Full Service and Bar modes on Square Point of Sale only.
To enable:
Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Settings > Account & Settings > My organisation > Organisation settings.
Enter the Control POS menu layouts.
Toggle on Control POS menu layouts.
