Information Included on Square Receipts
For every successful payment, Square will generate a digital receipt that you can send to your customers or access later for your record-keeping.
Information Included on Digital Receipts
Each digital receipt will show the following information:
Merchant Information: merchant name, merchant business address, tax identification number, etc.
Transaction Details: product/item name and quantity, applicable VAT rates per item, discount rates (if applicable), etc.
Transaction Summary: total transaction amount excluding VAT, absolute total including VAT, applicable VAT rates, payment method, etc.
Payment Information: Authorisation code, unique receipt number, transaction timestamp, type of transaction (sale, refund, partial return), etc.
Accessing Your Digital Receipts
You can access a printable version of your digital receipts:
Log in to your online Square Dashboard > select Transactions.
Select the transaction you want to access the digital receipt for.
In the transaction details select the Invoice number, which will open a printable version of the digital receipt for that payment.
If you need to access historical receipt data for multiple payments, you can export these details in a CSV file:
Log in to your online Square Dashboard > select Transactions.
Use the date selector tool and other filters to select the relevant transactions.
Click Export > Transactions CSV.
