How do I set up my menu items?

Will Square Gift Cards work on Square Online?

Yes. If a customer has a Square Gift Card associated with your business, they’ll be able to apply their balance during the checkout flow.

Will customers who place an order through my Square Online site be added to my Customer Directory?

Yes. Customers who place orders on your site will be added to a list in your Customer Directory.

Can I customise the customer ordering experience on my site?

Yes. The Square Online personalised order screen provides buyers with a dynamic landing page that personalises the ordering experience on your website. Think of it as a customised version of your ordering page with several added benefits for customers, including quick reordering, customised promotions and much more. Manage Orders, Fulfilment and Payments

How do I set up my checkout page?

You can set up the checkout page for your Square Online site from your Square Online Overview page in Settings > Checkout or Shared Settings > Checkout.

How do I set up taxes?

You can set up taxes for your website from your Square Online Overview page in Settings > Sales Taxes or Shared Settings > Sales Taxes. Learn more about setting up taxes in Square Online.

Can I view orders from other Square apps?

Yes. When a customer places an order, you’ll receive an in-app notification and you can accept and update an order’s progress as you prepare and finish the order.

To manage your Square Online orders, go to the Order Manager in your Square POS or online Square Dashboard by navigating to Orders.

How do I set up collection, local delivery and self-serve ordering?

Why are my customers only seeing the option to have an item delivered?

By default, each item’s fulfilment is set to delivery. To change the fulfilment type, change it for each item individually or use the bulk editing method.

How do I print an order?

You can automatically print tickets for collection and local delivery orders from Square Online with a compatible kitchen printer. To start:

  1. From your Square Online Overview page, go to Fulfilment > Collection & Delivery.
  2. Select Set up location or Edit to manage your location’s fulfilment settings.
  3. Under Workflow, select when you want your collection and local delivery tickets to print.
  4. Complete all other details and select Save when finished.

If you print order tickets based on the collection and delivery time, order tickets will print based on how much prep time is required before the order is due. If you print order tickets as soon as the order is placed, all order tickets will print immediately, even when the order is scheduled for a future collection or delivery time.

Why didn’t I receive a notification when my customer placed an order?

Depending on your email provider, notifications will sometimes be filtered to your spam folder. Double-check your spam folder and add the following email addresses to your contacts:

  • hello@emails.weebly.com
  • noreply@promote.weebly.com
  • no-reply@editmysite.com

If you don’t want all of your online order notifications to go to your Square account email address, you can update your preferences in Square Online to send notifications to as many as three different email addresses. Why can’t my customers place an order if I’ve marked an item as available?

If your items display as Unavailable or don’t appear at all on your Square Online site, there are a few things to consider that could be the cause. Learn more about troubleshooting non-visible items in Square Online.

Will customers receive my customised digital receipts for online purchases?

When a customer places an order through Square Online, they’ll receive a receipt from the Square Online site only. These can be customised from your Square Online Overview page in Communications > Email & Text Alerts.
