Skip the Receipt Screen to Speed Up Checkout
To speed up your checkout flow with the Square Point of Sale app during peak business hours, you can skip the receipt screen. This allows you to complete a sale without prompting a customer to enter their phone number or email address, helping you quickly transition to the next customer in line.
Turn on Skip Receipt
From the Square app, visit More > Settings > Checkout > Signature and Receipt.
Toggle on Skip receipt screen.

How does skipping the receipt screen affect automatic receipts and Square Marketing?
With this feature turned on, customers will be unable to subscribe to automatic receipts, nor can they receive emails sent with Square Marketing.
Will skipping the receipt screen speed up cash or other tender transactions?
Yes! As soon as you tap Charge and tender the payment, you’ll see the change due, confirmation of the payment and return to the beginning of the checkout flow within a matter of seconds.
Can I still print receipts if I skip the receipt screen?
Card transaction receipts will automatically print only if ‘Sign and Tip on printed receipts’ is turned on and you require signatures. For all other transactions, a receipt will not print if Skip Receipt Screen is enabled.
What if my customer wants a receipt? How do I provide one?
From the Square app, tap Transactions.
Locate and tap a payment > Issue Receipt.
From your Dashboard, click Sales > Transactions > select a payment > Send Receipt.
