Cancel or Return Hardware Order from Square

Square offers a 30-day, risk-free return policy on all hardware purchased from Square Shop.

To return your hardware:

  1. Locate your Order ID number on your original order confirmation email. This number will emulate the following: GB-123456789.

  2. Complete the return form.

  3. Include all cords, original packaging and the original packing slip with your return.

  4. Upon receiving your return, Square will refund your payment card after confirming that all hardware is included. Refunds will be issued to the original purchasing card within seven business days.

Square products purchased through third-party retailers must be returned in accordance with the respective return and refund policy of the retailer.

Create Return Labels

To create or print a return label, follow the instructions in the section above. Once you have completed the return form, an electronic return label will be generated and can be saved to or printed from your personal computer.

Exchange Hardware

We are currently unable to offer hardware exchanges (unless filing a warranty claim). If you wish to swap a device that you ordered for something different, process a return for what you have received (once you are within 30 days of original purchase) and separately order your preferred item(s) in Square Shop.

Cancel Order

There is a limited time frame from which a Square Hardware Order can be cancelled. You can request a cancellation of your order if the status of the order is marked as ‘processing’. We are unable to cancel a hardware order once it has been fully processed by our warehouse. However, you can return your order once it has been delivered.

To request an order cancellation:

  1. Log in to your Square online Dashboard.

  2. Select the name of your business in the top right hand corner and click Order Square Hardware.

  3. From the Square Shop Page click My Account > Order Status.

  4. If the order is still processing, you will have the opportunity to Request Cancellation.

If successful, you will receive a confirmation email that your order has been successfully cancelled. A refund will be issued to the card you used to make the purchase. This may take 2–7 business days to appear on your bank statement.
