Share files and announcements with Square Team Communication

    With Square Team Communication, you can share images, videos, documents, and updates with your team to keep everyone on the same page — all from the Square Team App.

    Before you begin

    Supported file types include PDF and Microsoft Office formats (like DOC, PPT, and XLS). Image, audio, and video files can be up to 40 megabytes maximum.

    You can upload and view files and folders from the Square Team App. You can create and send announcements from your Square Dashboard.

    Upload files

    You can upload files from the Square Team App:

    • From the Square Team App, select More > Team files.

    • Tap + to view upload options. 

    • Select Scan documents, Take photo, Upload photo, or Upload file.

    • Select the file from your device to upload it.

    View files

    You can view files from the Square Team App.

    • From the Square Team App, select More > Team files.

    • Select a location to view files associated with that location, or enter a file name in the search bar to find a file.

    Create a folder

    You can create a folder from the Square Team App. 

    • From the Square Team App, select More > Team files.

    • Select Create a folder.

    • Enter a name for the folder and select Create.

    • To add a file within a folder, select Add file.

    Share an announcement

    You can share team announcements from your Square Dashboard.

    • Sign in to your Square Dashboard and select Team > Announcements > + Announcement.

    • Select your target audience.

    • Enter an optional title, compose your message, and upload any files, then select Next.

    • Preview your message and select Send.
