What is PayPal Checkout?
PayPal Checkout offers many advantages for your customers, including the ability to checkout with PayPal without an account, and flexibility to choose a payment method at PayPal. Customers are more likely to complete a transaction with PayPal Checkout.
Why do I have to reconnect to PayPal?
If you’re currently connected through the older integration, you’ll need to disconnect and reconnect to PayPal in order to use PayPal Checkout.
What else do I need to know?
PayPal Checkout requires a Business Account, but there’s no cost to update your account and the same transaction fee structure applies.
How do I switch to PayPal Checkout?
Make sure that you have a Business account with PayPal. If you don’t, you can update your account for free. Learn how to convert to a Business account in the PayPal help centre.
Log in to your Weebly account and go to Settings > Checkout on the dashboard, then click the Update link in the notification banner. Follow the prompts to log into your PayPal account and reconnect.
What happens if I don’t upgrade to PayPal Checkout?
While your current PayPal account will continue to work if you don’t upgrade, Weebly will no longer support it. We want to ensure that you and your customers have the best experience possible, so we strongly recommend that you update.
