Square Announces Solutions Partner Program
Sellers will soon access Square certified partners that can help build customized solutions
Square, Inc. (NYSE: SQ) today announced the Square Solutions Partner Program to better connect sellers of all sizes with best in class partners that can build solutions specific to a business’s needs. Square small business owners who are just getting started, as well as large scale sellers with complex needs, will be able to easily identify Square approved agencies, resellers, or systems integrators. Starting today, these agencies can apply to become a part of the Square Solutions Partner Program.
Approved companies that join the Solutions Partner Program are eligible to receive early access to beta products, specialized account management, and additional financial benefits. Partners will also be able to offer their clients all the great benefits that come with using Square, including a superior commerce experience with PCI compliance, dispute management, and simple, fair, and transparent rates.
Square Global Partnerships Lead, Pankaj Bengani, announced the new program today at Square’s annual Partners Squared Summit in San Francisco saying, “The App Marketplace now boasts hundreds of partners that help boost productivity and sales, but growing Square sellers often seek a partner to build custom solutions for their business. The Solutions Partner Program doubles down on our commitment to build a strong partnership platform. Now, sellers will have access to approved Square Solutions Partners that can help them build innovative solutions; and agencies, resellers, and systems integrators will have access to the millions of Square sellers who need the industry’s best on their team to grow and scale their businesses in new ways.”
Solutions partners can be a critical piece of a business’s growth by creating new revenue streams and custom integrations for storefronts, restaurants, or online stores. To date, Square Solutions Partners have enabled sellers to launch customized kiosks, creative mobile checkout experiences, and deep integrations with third-party inventory and e-commerce stores. Additionally, solutions partners help sellers win new business, increase efficiency, and invent new ways to bring Square’s seamless checkout flow to life.
The program already includes more than 75 certified Square Solutions Partners across three categories:
Mobile and Web Agencies
These agencies help businesses develop unique online and mobile commerce experiences through a variety of platform integrations. Whether they are using e-commerce platforms like Magento, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce, or are creating new checkout experiences through kiosks and mobile devices, sellers can now more effectively run their business and service their customers.
Systems Integrators
These partners simplify the critical back-end of a scaling business by connecting Square-powered points of sale with their ERP, OMS, and CMS solutions. By enabling sellers to sync sales, customer information, and inventory data using APIs or pre-built integrations, Systems Integrators help manage all aspects of a business’s operations.
Resellers
The reseller program is designed for partners that work with clients to identify, recommend, and implement the right point of sale hardware and software to help sellers of all sizes scale and run their business.
“We were tasked with reinventing the in-store guest experience at Shake Shack’s new innovation store in New York City, and created a self-service kiosk with quick and easy payments powered by Square,” said Brett Spiegel, director of strategy at mobile development agency, Fuzz. “The effortless payment flow was a component of success for this new ordering channel, which was well-received by hungry customers and the client. Leveraging Square’s payment technology, we’ve been able to expand to several new restaurant brands, including Next Level Burger.”
“The founders of Silk Road Teas wanted to sync their online and offline payments and they specifically asked us to switch their e-commerce payment processing to Square. More importantly, they wanted peace of mind that their online sales were secure and backed with fraud prevention,” said David Weinfeld from Third Arm Marketing. “With just a few clicks, we connected their customized BigCommerce site to Square and helped them reach new tea aficionados around the world with an easy checkout flow, PCI compliance and secure payments. We’re excited to bring this level of simplicity and security to more small businesses looking for a solution to sell online.”
“Our goal was to simplify the extensive data and cumbersome checkout flow across 40 global locations of David Leadbetter Golf Academy,” said Steven Airoldi, General Manager of Vision33. “By connecting their SAP Business One data to Square, we gave them a simplified dashboard of sales, inventory and customer information across all academies. We also took their checkout flow from 12 manual steps to two taps on an iPad, making it easier to process a sale in the golf shop, on the green, and everywhere in between.”
