Review and upload loan application documents

    When applying for a Square Loan, additional information may be required to complete our review of your application. If this is required, you’ll be contacted through your Square Dashboard and via email to provide additional documentation.

    Before you start 

    • If additional documentation is requested for your loan application, your loan application cannot be reviewed if the request is incomplete. 

    • You’ll be notified of your application status within one to three working days. If you don’t receive a decision within this timeframe, we may still need additional information from you. Check your Square Dashboard and email inbox for any notifications asking you to provide additional information.

    • You have until the date specified in the email notification to complete the information request. If you don’t provide all of the requested information on time, your application will be cancelled.

    • Uploaded documents must be in PDF, JPEG, JPG, TIFF or PNG file format and under 25 MB in file size each.

    • Complete the request in full to the best of your ability by the date specified in your email notification. If the submitted information isn’t sufficient, you will be contacted via email and your Square Dashboard with additional details.

    Square Loans is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). All loans are issued by Squareup Europe Ltd, registered in England and Wales (no. 08957689). You must be a Square customer with a company or corporation business structure. Actual fee depends upon payment card processing history, loan amount and other eligibility factors. A minimum payment of 1/18th of the initial loan balance is required every 60 days and full loan repayment is required within 18 months. Offer eligibility is not guaranteed.     Review accepted application documents

    If additional information about a transaction is requested during our review of your account, you can submit one of the following:

    • Invoice

    • Service contract

    • Purchase order

    • Signed payment card authorisation form

    • Detailed receipt

    • Bill of sale

    • Email correspondence with the buyer

    If you do not have any of the above, please provide a detailed description of the goods and/or services sold.

    Upload application documents  

    We support documents uploaded using iOS and Android devices using a supported web browser such as Safari or Google Chrome. If you cannot upload documents using your mobile, try a computer.

    Square Dashboard

    1. Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Money > Loans..
    2. Click Add information to upload the requested items.

    Square Point of Sale app

    1. Open the Square app and tap More > Settings > Information requests.
    2. Within Active requests, you’ll see a list of the requested documents and can start uploading.
