Watercolor & Mixed Media Camps

We're coming up on the FINAL summer camps of the year, the Watercolor & Mixed Media Camp, with separate tracks for Teens and for Adults. The weeklong series runs August 11-15, but both the Teen and Adult series needs a few more registrants by August 4 in order to meet minimums.

Wednesday, July 30, 6 PM: It's back! You can come Draw Bugs! in Person with big bug enthusiast, RJ! Whether you're looking to conquer your creepy crawly squeamishness by understanding and drawing them, wanting to just squeal about how cool bugs with fellow bug enjoyers, or looking to settle the shrimps is bugs debate, you'll have fun and learn about bugs in this class! 🪲

If I Were the Village Blacksmith... is intended as a straight narrative of the life of Charles Bukowski, whose autobiographical stories were laid out like a jigsaw puzzle and put together to create a story of a man who told his ordinary life in extraordinary ways.

Chris Dusterhoff and Chuk Baldock are local zinesters working together through New Pacific Press. We've got a few of Chuk's other titles in recently as well!

Monday-Thursday, August 4-7, 10 AM daily: The Teen Acrylic Painting Camp met its minimum and is a go, so you've got a little more time to sign your kid up for this four-day crash course on acrylic painting. From mixing paints to learning different styles and techniques, this series gives your teen everything they need to get started in this versatile and accessible medium! 🎨

Monday, August 4, 5:30 PM: New instructor Udaya is teaching our new Reading Crochet Patterns class, which features granny squares this month! While simple on its surface, you can do all kinds of complex shapes and designs in this format, and learning to read patterns can really help you along! 🧶
