This massage is our 75 Minute massage that starts with your therapist discussing any issues you may have.  Your therapist may incorporate all techniques that help get your body in alignment that may include various stretches and lymphatic strokes to release toxins. There may be “at home stretch exercises” suggested so you to begin in order to

 have a more balanced body, not only after your massage but each and every day. 

Swedish Massage:

Swedish Massage is a full body massage that uses long strokes (effleurage), kneading, friction and other strokes that focuses on relaxation and improving circulation and tension. This is the most common type of massage therapy.

Deep Tissue Massage:

Deep Tissue Massage is the type of massage that the therapist uses their hands, fingers, forearms and elbows with more pressure than Swedish massage. Research suggests both deep and soft tissue release may aid recovery after an injury or to relieve stiffness and pain. Also may reduce inflammation leading to increased flexibility and reduced pain. Deep tissue may not be suitable for everyone, especially those who are more sensitive to touch and may have medical issues that would advise against this type of massage. Examples would be Osteoporosis, Cancer, High Blood Pressure, Pregnancy, and blood thinners. Please consult your physician if you have any of these noted above before booking a deep tissue massage.

Prenatal Massage:

Prenatal Massage is similar to a Swedish Massage but it’s gentler and techniques are adjusted to each individual client. It is meant to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility.

Note: Prenatal Massage should not be done during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Oncology Massage:

Oncology Massage is a gentle specialized therapy designed to help clients with their individual challenges of their cancer journey. Whether it be before, during or after treatment, massage may help. Each session is designed to the needs of the client whether be for pain management, fatigue, skin issues, and sleep issues to name a few. Reduction of stress is an important factor as well during the cancer journey.
