Comfort over Vanity. In rare cases where the entire pet is pelted (EXTREMELY matted), this will result in a full shave down. Breaking up the groom into two visits may be necessary for the comfort of the pet. This groom will likely uncover skin irritation and/or other skin problems. It is expected that the hair may not grow back evenly at first, due to the damage of the hair follicles from the mats pulling on the skin. We recommend a follow up appointment in 4-6 weeks to even out the coat and promote healthy skin.
