Does Square provide payment services in Mexico?
No. Payment processing services in Mexico are provided by Square's partner, DLocal (Demerge Mexico S.A. de C.V.), an authorized Network Participant. DLocal may in turn partner with other third parties for the provision of payment hardware.
dLocal manages payment authorization, settlement, chargebacks, refunds, and all other aspects of payment processing. Square is not involved in the provision of payment processing services or the movement of merchant funds in Mexico.How do I start accepting payments?
Go to your dashboard and look for the black setup banner and click “Start” to begin identity verification with dLocal.
Complete the process by uploading the required documentation and add your CLABE to receive deposits.
Once approved, you can start accepting card payments with Square, powered by dLocal.
How do I connect my devices?
When your hardware arrives, it will already be linked to your Square account. Just follow these steps:
Download or open the Square app
Power on the device
Go to settings and connect it to a secure WiFi network
Open the Billpocket app for 1 minute and then close it (you don't have to login to this app)
Your device is ready to take payments
How do I take my first payment?
Taking your first payment is easy and secure, and you’ll receive your money the next business day.
Open the Square app
Enter an amount or select an item
Go to ‘Revisar la venta’ then ‘cobrar’
Select “Connected Terminals” and choose your Kushki terminal
Once the amount appears on the terminal, tap or insert the card to complete the payment
How much does Square POS software cost?
Square POS is free to use. You only pay a processing fee for each card payment you accept.
How do dynamic processing fees work?
Your processing rate automatically adjusts based on your monthly sales volume. When you reach a new tier, the discounted rate applies starting the following month.
What happens if a customer files a chargeback?
Square and dLocal will support you throughout the process. Additional information may be requested to resolve the case.
There are no charges or fees for processing chargebacks. If the chargeback is resolved in favor of the buyer, the seller is responsible for the transaction amount.How can I issue a refund?
You can issue refunds directly from Square POS.
There are no charges or fees for processing refunds. The seller will have to pay the processing fee for the original transaction.Do I get an invoice for processing fees?
dLocal automatically issues an invoice for processing fees using the business information on file.
Invoices are generated in the first 10 business days of the following month.When and where do I receive my money?
Funds from your sales are usually deposited the next business day into the bank account linked to your CLABE.
What types of cards can I accept with Square?
You can accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express cards.
Voucher cards are not currently supported.
