Check Out Appointments on your Mobile Devices

WithCitas Square, you can add appointments to a transaction from your checkout screen, automatically linking the payment to each appointment and attributing sales to the scheduled staff member. Save time by easily and quickly adding items to services at checkout, and remove the need for manual calculations from appointments or products sold — so you can return to helping out your customers. 

Check Out an Appointment

From the Square Point of Sale app on your phone:

  1. Tap Checkout > Appointments.

  2. Select the appointment you want to add to the transaction.

  3. Tap Review Sale.

  4. Tap Add item or services to add any other purchases to the cart . 

  5. Once all items or services are added, tap Review Sale.

  6. Tap Charge > Take Payment to complete the purchase.

From the Square Point of Sale app on your iPad or tablet:

  1. Tap Checkout > Appointments.

  2. Select the appointment you want to add to the transaction.

  3. Tap Keypad or Library to add any other items to the cart.

  4. Tap Charge > Take Payment to complete the transaction.

Note: You can only add one appointment to a transaction at checkout. If you have an appointment in the cart and select a new appointment, the first appointment will be deleted from your cart and replaced with the new appointment.

Appointments that will appear on the checkout list are: 

  • Appointments that recently began, categorized as Just Started

  • Appointments nearing the end of the scheduled time, labeled as Finishing Soon,

  • Completed appointments, shown as Finished Recently, and 

  • Appointments that took place on that calendar day. 

Appointments will remain on the checkout list until they are checked out or until the end of your calendar day.

Add Items and Services during Checkout

You can add items and services during the checkout process from your point of sale. Keep in mind, you will need to add the appointment to the cart before you add any additional items or custom sale amounts. 

From the Point of Sale app on your phone:

  1. Select Review Sale > Add items or services.

  2. Add items and services to the Appointment details.

  3. Complete the transaction as you normally would

From the Point of Sale app on your iPad or tablet:

  1. Select an appointment, and go to Library or Favorites.

  2. From there, you can add more items or services to the cart.

  3. Complete the transaction as you normally would.

Add Custom Sale Amounts

Once you add an appointment to the cart, tap Keypad to add a custom sale amount to the transaction.

Clear Your Cart

You can delete items from the cart in two ways:

  • Tap the three dots and select Clear cart

  • Select a different appointment reservation.

Note: Any items, services, or custom sale amounts added to the cart won’t be added to the appointment details if the appointment is cleared before you complete checkout.
