With Cash App’s Direct Deposit, you can deposit your paycheck directly from your employer into your Cash App to use to send funds or spend using your Cash Card.

Using Direct Deposit, you can generate an account and routing number that you can provide to your employer. This account and routing number is not associated with your bank account. This account and routing number can only be used to deposit funds into your Cash App.

Once your paycheck is deposited, you’ll be able to spend these funds using your Cash Card or send funds using Cash App.

Enable Direct Deposit

To enable Direct Deposit in your Cash App, open your Cash App:

  1. Tap the icon in the upper left hand corner.
  2. Scroll to the Funds section and tap Cash.
  3. Scroll down to Direct Deposit and tap Get Account Number.
  4. Select Enable Account and hit Done.

Keep in mind, you’ll need to enable your Cash Card before setting up Direct Deposits.

Send your Account and Routing numbers

Once you enable Direct Deposit, you can share that number with your employer. Open your Cash App:

  1. Tap the icon in the upper left hand corner.
  2. Scroll to the Funds section and tap Cash.
  3. Scroll down to Direct Deposit.
  4. Select Copy Account Details
  5. Choose to copy your Routing or Account number.

Once you’ve selected copy, your information will be saved to your clipboard and you can paste it directly from the app.

Your deposits will display in your transaction history.

When will my deposit arrive?

Once a Direct Deposit is sent from your employer or other ACH depositor, it can take up to 3 business days to post to your account.
