Creating Custom Reports in the Online Dashboard

If you need unique and specific reporting, you can create Custom Reports designed for your business right from your online Square Dashboard.

Custom Reports Overview

See all of your favorite reports in one place with Custom Reports in your online Square Dashboard. You can create customized, exportable reports in minutes.

You can add the following blocks to your Custom Reports:

  • Key Statistics

  • Sales Summary

  • Payment Methods

  • Item Sales

  • Category Sales

  • Team Member Sales

  • Discounts

  • Modifier Sales

  • Taxes

Create a Custom Report

To get started creating a Custom Report for your business, follow these steps:

  1. Visit Reporting > Reports in your online Square Dashboard.

  2. Click Custom Reports > Create New Report.

  3. Name your report > click Add Report to add additional blocks. Custom reports will automatically include your Sales Summary report, but it can be removed by clicking X at the top right corner of the report.

  4. Once your reports are added, hover over each section to reveal options to filter or add/remove columns.

  5. Click Save Report.

Once your Custom Report has been created, use the date-selector to specify the date range for your report. Click Export to download the set of reports report as a CSV file, which you can open using a spreadsheet program.

Note: The ability to save the date/time filters to your Custom Reports is not currently available.

Manage and Edit Custom Reports

To edit an existing Custom Report:

  1. Visit Reporting > Reports in your online Square Dashboard.

  2. Click Custom Reports > use the dropdown menu next to Custom Reports: on the upper-left to find a saved report.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Make desired changes to your Custom Report.

  5. Save.
