What if I don’t have all of the requested information?

Fill out the provided form in full to the best of your ability. We’re looking for documentation to verify your business and the goods or services your business provides through Square.

If the submitted documentation isn’t sufficient, our Operations team will reach out to you for additional information via email and your Square Dashboard.

Note: Your loan application will not be reviewed without this form completed. If you do not have all of the requested information, please fill in with whatever you have available.

What are some examples of acceptable documents?

For government-issued documentation, you can submit one of the examples below:

EIN form DBA Occupational license
Official certification of trade Industry standard documentation Registration
Seller’s permit LLC Articles of incorporation
Tax return Commercial driver’s license  

If you don’t have a registered business, please provide a copy of your government-issued identification in place of a business document.

For documentation of your transaction (documentation to verify what these specific payments were for), use one of the following:

  • Invoice
  • Purchase order
  • Detailed receipt
  • Bill of sale
  • Signed credit card authorization form
  • Email correspondence with the buyer

If you don’t have any documentation of your transaction, please provide a detailed description of the goods and/or services sold.

How can I access the form from my phone?

We recommend completing the information request form from a computer or tablet, but below are the steps for accessing the form from a phone:

  1. Make sure you’re logged in to your Dashboard from a mobile browser, and not the Square app.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines icon in the upper-right corner of your browser.
  3. From the drop down menu, select View Full Site.
  4. You’ll see the verification banner at the top-right of your screen.

I’m not able to scan the requested documents. Do you have a fax number?

To submit your documents via fax:

  1. Log in to your Square Dashboard.
  2. Click on the Verification button at the top of the page.
  3. Complete any required text fields.
  4. Click on Send via Fax and print out the cover letter.

## Is my information secure?

Yes. Square Capital is committed to keeping your information safe, secure, and private. All of our pages are secure, served via SSL/TLS. Square is also certified PCI compliant. For more information, read our Security Policy and Privacy Policy.

Why am I being asked to complete this form?

Because you’ve requested a loan through Square Capital, we need to confirm information about your business to complete loan processing. This may include documentation that has been previously collected by Square, but is needed to process your application.

What will happen to my account if I don’t complete this form?

Without the requested information, your loan applications will be canceled after 14 days. If your application is canceled, please refer to your Dashboard to see if you remain eligible for a loan through Square Capital.

I can’t upload any files. What should I do?

If you’re having trouble, make sure that Javascript is enabled in your browser. To enable Javascript, use the f instructions for the browser you’re using: Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome or Safari. If enabling Javascript doesn’t help, try using a different browser.

How long does the account review process take?

Once you’ve fully completed the form, the Square Capital team can begin a review of your account, which will take one to two business days.
