The Square app does not currently support multitasking. This means in-person payment processing may be interrupted by an incoming call or text message.
We recognize multitasking is a popular function of mobile devices, and we are working to incorporate this feature into our app. In the meantime, it’s easy to ensure your payment successfully completes.
Keep in mind, you can switch back and forth between the Square app and other apps on your device without needing to sign in again.
