再デザインされたSquare POSレジパブリックベータ版

Thank you for helping us test Square Point of Sale’s upcoming redesign through our public beta offering. We’re super excited to share these new changes with you! To get started in this beta, please make sure you take a few minutes to join our ベータコミュニティ, where we collect feedback, provide support materials, and connect you directly to our team. Signing up only takes a few minutes before you start testing.

While the layout of the app has received a total makeover, you’ll still have the same functionality you’re used to with Square Point of Sale. Improved features and new additions to your existing workflows will aim to help make running your business even easier than it’s been in the past. This article will assist you in getting started and making the most out of your experience with the new interface.

What’s New?

Along with the addition of the 新しい設定セクション, the Square app has been fully transformed to simplify the way you interact with your point of sale. You now have access to the Checkout screen, Transactions page, Notifications, and more — all conveniently located at the bottom of the app screen across all compatible devices.

You can also easily manage orders, invoices, items, customers, and settings through the More menu to ensure your business runs just the way you like it to — smoothly and efficiently.

Getting Started

Before you get started, make sure you’ve ダウンロード済みのSquare POSレジアプリ on a スマートフォンまたはタブレットに対応. Once you’ve downloaded the app, simply sign in using the email address and password associated with your Square account, or a 端末コード.

Opt In/Opt Out

In order to upgrade to the newly redesigned Square Point of Sale, you’ll navigate to the in-app Settings menu by tapping the More icon at the bottom of the screen. From Settings > Checkout, tap Upgrade to the new Square Point of Sale to implement the changes to your point of sale.

You can revert back to the original Square Point of Sale at any time by visiting the same section and clicking Revert to previous experience.

Taking Payments

While there are some slight changes to the checkout experience, all of the same features you’ve come to expect from Square are still in place. Whether you’re using the Keypad to enter a dollar amount, or choosing items from your Item Library or Favorites pages, you’ll still have the ability to quickly and easily take transactions at any time.

Once you’ve logged into your Square Point of Sale app, you’ll see the Keypad you’re familiar with for entering dollar amounts, as well as your Item Library and any other Favorites pages you’ve created in the past. From here, you can start the checkout process.

Taking Payments on a Tablet

  1. From the Checkout screen, enter a dollar amount via the Keypad, or select an item from your Library or Favorites page(s).

  2. Confirm your transaction details under Current sale when using the app in Landscape mode (horizontally), or tap Review sale when using the app in Portrait mode (vertically).

  3. From the Current sale screen, add a customer or discount if applicable, and either tap the Charge button to move forward or the Save Ticket button to save the sale for a later time.

  4. Once you’ve tapped the Charge button, swipe, dip, or tap your customer’s card, or manually enter their card information if they’re not with you in person.

  5. Once your customer has been charged, they’ll have the option to receive a receipt by email or text message, or no receipt at all.

Taking Payments on a Mobile Device

  1. From the Checkout screen, enter a dollar amount via the Keypad, or select an item from your Library or Favorites page.

  2. Tap Review sale at the bottom of the Checkout screen to view the Current sale.

  3. From the Current sale screen, add a customer or discount if applicable, and either tap the Charge button to move forward or the Save Ticket button to save the sale for a later time.

  4. Once you’ve tapped the Charge button, swipe, dip, or tap your customer’s card, or manually enter their card information if they’re not with you in person.

  5. Once your customer has been charged, they’ll have the option to receive a receipt by email or text message, or no receipt at all.

Refunding Payments

We understand that not every sale may work out in the long run. With a few simple clicks, you can easily refund your customers directly from Square Point of Sale. Choose the items in question or provide a specific amount to send back to your customer and they’ll receive their funds to their original form of payment or to a Gift Card to use the next time they come in.

Refunding Payments on a Tablet

  1. From the Transactions screen, select the transaction that needs to be refunded, swipe to search by payment card, or search by full card number, phone number, customer name, receipt number, notes, or item in the search bar.

  2. From the transaction details screen, tap Issue refund.

  3. Select the item(s) that needs to be refunded or tap Amount to refund a specified amount > tap Next.

  4. Select a reason for refund and confirm the original payment method with your customer or tap Add Gift Card or Swipe to refund to a Gift Card.

  5. Tap Refund > Done.

Once the refund is complete, you’ll be sent back to the transaction details screen. If your customer would like a receipt for their refund, simply tap New receipt and enter their information.

Creating Items

Item creation and management is a breeze with the redesigned Square Point of Sale app. Whether you’re just getting started or already have an item library set up, you can easily create items, categories, modifiers, discounts, and more to ensure the checkout process is smooth for both your customers and your team members who use the point of sale daily.

Creating Items on a Tablet

  1. From the Square Point of Sale app, tap More at the bottom of the screen > select Items.

  2. Under the All Items section, tap Create Item.

  3. Fill out all applicable item information like Name, Category, Price, Description, etc.

  4. Tap the item tile at the top of the screen to set a label color or take/upload a photo > tap Done.

  5. Click Save.

Note: If you’re using the Item Grid, you can also create an item by tapping on an empty tile and selecting Create Item.

Creating Items on a Mobile Device

  1. From the Square Point of Sale app, tap More at the bottom of the screen > select Items > All Items.

  2. From the All Items section, tap Create Item.

  3. Fill out all applicable item information like Name, Category, Price, Description, etc.

  4. Tap the item tile at the top of the screen to set a label color or take/upload a photo > tap Done.

  5. Click Save.

Note: If you’re using the Item Grid, you can also create an item by tapping on an empty tile and selecting Create Item.

Reviewing Sales

Keeping track of sales is a crucial part of running any successful business. That’s why, with the newly redesigned Square Point of Sale app, you’ll have access to reporting in live time — ensuring you have full visibility into how your business is doing day-in and day-out. From cash drawer reporting to overall sales reports and graphs, keeping an eye on how your business is performing has never been easier.

Reviewing Sales on a Tablet

  1. From the Square Point of Sale app, tap More at the bottom of the screen > Reports.

  2. Select from a variety of different reports, including Cash Drawer reporting, Sales reporting, and Disputes reporting.

  3. Using the toggle icon in the top left hand corner, customize your report by time frame and filter by device and/or team member > tap Done.

  4. From here, you’ll be able to review the report in question. If you’re reviewing the Sales Report, click the arrow icon in the upper right hand corner to email the report to an email address of your choice.

  1. From the Square Point of Sale app, tap More at the bottom of the screen > Reports.
