Add Attachments to Square Invoices

You can add multiple attachments, like a contract or image, directly to your Square Invoice so your customer will have all of the purchase information in one place.

Add Attachments to Invoices from the Square Dashboard

From the online Square Dashboard, you can navigate to the Square Invoices Overview page to add attachments to your invoices. To do so:

  1. In your Square Invoices Overview page, select Send an invoice.

  2. When creating an invoice, select Add Attachments to upload documents or images from your computer. Note: Image files and PDFs can be uploaded with a combined file size limit of 25MB with a maximum of 10 files. You can upload PDF, PNG and JPG files.

  3. Add additional attachments as needed, or remove uploaded attachments by selecting X.

  4. Continue creating the invoice, then select Send or Schedule.

Before sending your invoice, select Preview in the top right-hand corner to view your invoice as your customer will see it. You can also select Save as draft to save the current version to work on later.

Note: Do not use this feature to upload any personal health information, illegal content or content in violation of Square’s Terms of Service. Content you upload may be reviewed and used by Square in connection with contesting a chargeback.

Add Attachments to Invoices from the Square POS App

You can add attachments to your invoices from the Square POS app. To do so:

  1. Select Invoices from the navigation menu, and tap the Create Invoice button.

  2. When creating an invoice, click Add Attachments to upload documents or images from your device. Note: Image files and PDFs can be uploaded with a combined file size limit of 25MB with a maximum of 10 files. You can upload PDF, PNG and JPG files.

  3. Add additional attachments as needed, or remove uploaded attachments by tapping the attachment > Remove Attachment.

  4. Continue creating the invoice, and tap Send when finished.

Before sending your invoice, select ... > Save as draft to save the current version to work on later.

To access this feature, be sure your Square POS app is up to date.
