Connect to FedEx or UPS with Square Online
Connect to FedEx
Connecting your FedEx account to Square Online to use with Real-Time Delivery or printing delivery labels requires two things: a FedEx account number and a FedEx metre number.
Here’s how to get that information from your FedEx account.
From the FedEx Developer Resource Center, click on Move to Production, then click the Get Production Key button.
Answer the application questions, then complete the rest of the form with your information and agree to the terms.
Note: You’ll need to enter your FedEx account number during this process. You can find that by going to FedEx.com and clicking on your name in the upper right corner. Choose My Profile from the list, and then click Account Management. You’ll find your account number on that page.
Once you’ve submitted the form, you’ll see your meter number on the confirmation page. You’ll also receive an email with the same information, which you may want to save for future reference.
Now that you have your account number and metre number, you can connect to FedEx from your Square Online Overview page under Settings > Delivery > Advanced Settings.
Connect to UPS
To connect Square Online to your UPS account for delivery, go to your Square Online Overview page > Settings > Delivery > Advanced Settings, then click the UPS button.
Click What if I already have a UPS account? and select Connect an existing account.
You’ll need to fill in the form with your information, including your UPS account number.
You can find your account number on any recent invoice from UPS. You can also get the account number from the tracking code for anything you’ve delivered with this account.
A UPS tracking code typically looks like this: 1Z4Y5D301221185116. Your account number will be the six characters after 1Z. For example, the account number in this tracking code is 4Y5D30.
Click Connect account when you’re finished to complete the setup process.
Tip: If you don’t have a UPS account, you can save money on delivery by creating a new UPS account. Go to your Square Online Overview page > Settings > Shipping > Advanced Settings, click the UPS button, complete the form and follow the prompts to create your new account.
