Introducing Square Stand: The complete countertop point of sale
This October we brought Square Stand for contactless and chip to Australia — the first out-of-the-box solution that turns an iPad into a fully integrated point-of-sale system. The stylish countertop solution does away with old-school, oversized point-of-sale systems, clunky cash drawers, piles of paper receipts and cluttered countertops, allowing you to accept contactless, chip and magstripe payments from accepted credit and debit cards, and to run your business with a POS designed to grow with you.
The new Mobile Staff feature enables your staff to accept payments for you on their own mobile devices — free of charge. Employees assigned to the Mobile Staff role in Square Dashboard are given the ability to accept credit and debit card payments, as well as issue refunds, on your behalf without giving them access to business-sensitive information or the ability to edit settings in your Square account. Improved inventory management features
We’ve redesigned your item library in Square Point of Sale to include a list of both items and variations. This gives you a greater level of inventory information at a variation level, as well as faster access to editing variations, helping to reduce your time spent managing inventory. And to help improve accuracy, you’ll get a warning when you’re creating a duplicate SKU.
