We’re constantly releasing new features and tools designed to help you start, run and grow your business. To help you get the most out of Square, here’s a quick rundown of what’s new.
Preview invoices before sending
Now in Square Invoices you can preview each invoice before sending it, so you can see exactly what your customers see when they receive it. After you have created an invoice through the Square app or through your Square Dashboard, just fill out the invoice form, and then select ‘Preview.’ You can then close it and make any last-minute updates before sending it on to your customer. New point-of-sale and order management integrations
Some larger businesses, such as full-service restaurants and multi-location retailers, have built their operations around the specialised platforms or systems they use to manage orders and run business operations. With this fact in mind, we’ve been rapidly building our list of partners to include Vend, TouchBistro, posBoss, Abacus, SalesIn, Mobi2Go and Boppl. Now, sellers who use these platforms can continue to access all the same powerful capabilities while using the payment services offered by Square — whether it’s Square Reader for contactless and chip, online invoicing, or powerful analytics and reporting tools. Learn more about these and other new integration options in the Square App Marketplace.
Secure your Square account with two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication is a handy tool for managing your most sensitive account changes. For example, when you link a new bank account or reset your password, you are first prompted to log in with your username and password and then required to verify your identity with a code from an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator) to complete the action. This level of personalised authentication helps to secure your most valuable business details and information. To set up two-factor authentication for your Square account, follow these simple steps.
A new way to share Square Invoices
If you’re issuing frequent invoices, you may start to see patterns that can help you identify the best way to reach each customer. Some may respond to email, while others may be easier to reach in other ways. We’ve updated Square Invoices so you can create a manual sharing link that you can use to communicate with your customers by SMS or other methods.
After creating a new invoice, just select ‘Share Invoice Manually’ and you’ll prevent the standard email invoice from being sent to your customer. Instead, you’ll receive an email with a custom URL. You can then send the invoice to your customer however you prefer. Learn more about Square Invoices.
