We’re constantly releasing tools to help you start, run and grow your business. In November we launched a bunch of cool new features. To make sure you’re getting the most out of Square, here’s a roundup.

Get your workforce moving with Mobile Staff

For businesses with a team of employees selling on the road, or even when someone is needed to step away from the counter to bust a queue, our new Mobile Staff feature enables your staff to accept payments for you on their own mobile devices — free of charge.

Employees assigned to the Mobile Staff role in Square Dashboard are given the ability to accept credit and debit card payments, as well as issue refunds, on your behalf without giving them access to business-sensitive information or the ability to edit settings in your Square account. When the time comes to promote team members and give them additional access to the Square Point of Sale app or Dashboard, you can then create customisable permission groups with Square Employee Management.

Manage your inventory in Square Point of Sale

Now you can view and adjust inventory counts in the Square Point of Sale app using the item tab or item grid. All updates to inventory made in the app will be tracked and displayed in your Dashboard history. Learn how to check inventory in the Square Point of Sale app.

What’s new with Square partners?

To help service businesses spend less time scheduling and more time with clients, this month we announced two new booking and scheduling integrations with Checkfront and Acuity Scheduling in the Square App Marketplace.

These integrations make it super-easy for your customers to book their appointments or reschedule existing ones. Once you’ve connected your Square account to a chosen partner, all card payments are processed through Square so you can view and manage booking transactions, all in your Dashboard. Through simple integration and easy-to-use mobile apps, Checkfront and Acuity Scheduling can help your business accept and manage reservations from anywhere, on any device.
