We’re constantly releasing tools to help you start, run and grow your business, and in February we released a bunch of cool features. To make sure you’re getting the most out of Square, here’s a roundup of what’s new.
Get rewards for referring friends to Square
Have you checked out Square’s referral program? Here’s how it works: When you refer another business to Square, it gets to process $1,000 in credit or debit card transactions for free after signing up, and you do, too.1 Head to your Square Dashboard to share your referral link with a business looking to join Square.
Capture eCommerce sales better with Orders API
Square’s new Orders API allows you to better track and match your online orders with payments in Square Dashboard. For all purchases made through your eCommerce platform, you can now access information on each item purchased and any modifications made to those items during purchase, such as discount codes.
This new feature not only helps you gain a better understanding of your customers’ online purchasing habits but also allows you to track what they’re buying and when they’re buying it, so you can adapt your inventory and customer engagement accordingly.
More API information for developers
Square’s advanced suite of APIs can help your business with just about anything it might need, from accepting payments online and integrating with accounting software to employee rostering and advanced reporting solutions.
We know that some businesses like to engage professional developers to help them get these great solutions up and running, so we have been working hard to improve our online resources to help you get started — see our new developer documentation here.
Square APIs are free to use, simple, powerful, secure and reliable. Now all you need to do to get started is log in to your Square account, create access credentials in the Application Dashboard and start building!
New Square partnerships
Square’s partners provide everything from accounting software and eCommerce solutions to inventory and employee management. Here’s what’s new with our partners this month.
