Lymphatic drainage massages, also called post-op massages are part of the recovery process after any type of surgery. Your first week you should receive this massage every day.

After the first week you can start to get them twice a week.

After your first month of recovery you should get your massages once a week, then every other week.

Your body will ultimately take at least 6 months to heal and you need to get your massages for at least 6 months. Your massages help to reduce the excess fluid that the body forms immediately after surgery, reduces pain, and diminishes and prevent the formation of imperfections such as lumps, uneven areas, wrinkles, indentations or discoloration of the skin.
