Clinical Rehabilitative Massage Therapy with integrated health coaching, corrective actions and exercises

MLD (for edema - swelling) promotes lymphatic fluid movement in desired drainage direction. Improves lymph capillary uptake and provides soothing and analgesic effect.

For clients experiencing swelling due to injury/surgery and undiagnosed lymphedema.

Soft-tissue mobilization techniques appropriate for facilitation of improved range of motion of the upper extremities and resolution of soft tissue adhesions. Treating Axillary Web Syndrome (cording), postural and scapular dysfunction as well as upper-quadrant soft-tissue changes following breast cancer surgery and radiation therapy. Education of patients on possible risk of lymphedema, on self-care, infection-prevention and benefits of appropriate and safe exercise routine to promote mobility and reduce chance for cancer recurring. For clients that are currently treated for cancer or have just finished the cancer treatment (either of the following: surgery, radiation, chemotherapy).

For clients diagnosed with or at risk of lymphedema - a chronic disease that compromises lymphatic system and causes mild to severe swelling, limited range of motion, skin changes and tissue fibrosis.

Session contains Manual Lymph Drainage, Complete Decongestive Therapy if needed including short-stretch compression bandaging, skin and nail care education, patient-appropriate exercises, guidance and measuring for custom-made compression garments.

Currently not unable to serve clients with genital lymphedema and open wounds.
