First Visit
Medical Therapy help for reduction of and management of pain requires a different type of frequency. The first visit offers the client the choice of medical massage or Sweedish massage. Medical massage includes an individual approach to the client, featuring a variety of therapeutic modalities; While Sweedish massage offers a one-hour escape from the hassles of daily routine.
Medical Massage
Medical massage is a mix of manipulations which direct a quick healing process to orthopedic or neurological illnesses, and their associated discomfort. Medical massage help for reduction of, and management of pain requires a different type of frequency. It’s called a “diminishing frequency”. People in severe pain that do not require medical intervention can receive massage therapy 2-3 times per week in the first week. This may continue in the second and third week of treatment depending upon response of the client to the therapy. When the pain is reduced so is the frequency of massage therapy. At first it may be reduced from 3 times per week to 2 times per week, then to 1 time per week. Even chronic pain conditions like fibromyalgia, lupus, carpal tunnel syndrome, tmj-d, and chronic low back pain can have a diminishing frequency.
Pre and/or postoperative therapy to speed healing. Multiple sessions may be required to get the maximum effect. This rehabilitation captures both neurological and physiological injuries. The combination of Rehabilitation & Medical Massage includes firm massage with isometric, targeted exercises and soft stretching.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.
