A phlebotomy technician, also known as a Phlebotomist, is responsible for drawing blood from patients for donations, tests, and other sample work. The phlebotomy technician will puncture the vein to draw blood from patients from all walks of life, from babies and children to adults and the elderly.

We offer in house CLIA-waived testing. These tests enable our lab the ability to test results within minutes. These test can be take given in the comfort of your home or jobsite. You may have in done in office as well.

We test both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients with no referral needed. Our test results meet or exceed the requirements for travel on all major airlines, summer camps and for work or return-to-work post-exposure

Patients at our clinic get results up to 48 hours after their visit so they can make important life decisions and changes immediately.

Phlebotomy is performed once or twice weekly until the hematocrit (measurement of the concentration of red blood cells) is near normal.

A needle is placed in a large blood vessel, typically in the elbow crease, to remove blood. Blood may be collected in a bag or in syringes. Typically, in adults, a unit 250-500 mL to a pint of blood (450 - 500 mL) is removed at a time.The frequency of phlebotomy will vary based on your medical condition and laboratory values.

To comply with DOT regulations, mandatory mock drug testing is required for certification to administer DOT drug tests under 49 CFR Part 40. Participants who have successfully completed the didactic portion of the course can purchase mock drug testing kits to fulfill this requirement and practice accurate testing procedures.
